The replica cleat mount comes fitted with two mini K Cams and our new pillar fairlead design for ease of adjustment from all angles.
Contains:
- Cleat base with two fixing holes
- 70 100 K Cam mini cleats x 2
- 70 105 K Cam pillar fairleads x 2
Fitting Instructions:
For very old lasers, you can use the original fixing holes for the alloy clamcleat. If not fitted, position cleat base behind mast along the centerline , measure 437mm back from the mast slot and drill a 4mm pilot hole to accept a 5mm self tapping screw (not supplied).
Loosely fit the screw then align again along the centerline; mark then drill the second fixing hole. Remove the cleat base and seal the screw holes with sealant before final fitting.
Distance to 1st fixing hole center from back of mast slot - 437mm
Barton fittings are high quality replacements that perform the same function as the original part. They should not be confused with official parts bearing the Laser® registered trademark. They cannot be used if you are sailing at an Association event. However, they are perfect for social sailing, sailing schools, club sailing or training.
